Our objects are meant to be used, not tiptoed around. Every piece is designed and made with care in our Adelaide workshop. They're built to last, and a little bit of TLC will keep them looking their best.
Caring for Your oBJECTS
Regular care will keep your objects looking their best
- Wipe surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soapy water
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning and avoid leaving standing water on the surface
- Promptly remove dirt, salt, bird droppings, leaves and other detritus
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, scourers, solvents and harsh chemicals
RETURNS + CHANGE OF MIND
Please choose carefully. We don't offer returns or exchanges for change of mind, including where you decide the colour, finish, size or style isn't quite right for your space.
We do our best to represent our colours and finishes accurately online, but colours can vary between screens and slight variations can occur between finishes.
If your object arrives damaged, faulty or isn't what you ordered, please get in touch and we'll make it right.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.
Warranty
Our furniture is covered by a 3-year structural warranty from the date of purchase against structural defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable. It is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What Is Covered
- Structural failure of frames, legs, welded joints or other structural components resulting from a manufacturing defect.
- Defects in materials or workmanship that affect the structural integrity of the object.
- Manufacturing defects that prevent the object from performing its intended function under normal residential use.
If a valid warranty claim is approved, Pulsing Heart will, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected component or product, or provide another appropriate remedy.
What Isn't Covered
Each Pulsing Heart piece is handmade. Slight variations in colour, finish, texture, welds and other details are a natural part of working with metal and the other materials we use. These variations are part of the character of the object and are not considered defects.Our objects are also made to be enjoyed. Over time, scratches, marks and the gentle ageing of surfaces will become part of the character and story of your piece.
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches, marks, dents and surface abrasion from everyday use.
- Natural ageing, fading or changes in colour, gloss or texture.
- Scratching, chipping or other damage to powder-coated or finished surfaces caused by use or impact.
- Natural changes to raw aluminium and other unfinished materials over time.
- Corrosion, staining or deterioration caused by damaged finishes, inadequate maintenance, prolonged exposure to standing water, salt spray, pool chemicals or other harsh environmental conditions.
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, impacts, overloading, modifications or use outside the object's intended purpose.
- Damage resulting from failure to follow the recommended care instructions.
- Mould, mildew, dirt or environmental deposits that accumulate on the object.
- Minor handmade variations in finish, texture, welds and other details that are consistent with the character of the object and do not amount to a defect.
Warranty Claims
If you believe your object has a structural defect covered by this warranty, please contact us with your order details and a description of the issue. We may ask for photographs or other information to help us assess the claim. Please don't return an object without contacting us first.Australian Consumer Law
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
